Wooo, first build thread...

I bought the car as a roller; well it had the engine and trans, but the engine had rod through the side and the trans was missing gears.

The car was in terrible state. Moss growing on the body and tree sap covered all horizontal surfaces. Still, it was straight (relative).

In went a 6.0ltr forged internal LQ9 block along with ported/polished heads with everything thrown at it with a LS2 intake...

Exhaust system ... I played around with the idea of true duals but finally went for complete Mufflex 4" setup...

Racetronix fuel pump and hotwire kit...

and suspension comprising Koni shocks, ground control coil over kit and Strano sway bars and chrome 18" Z06 wheels...

She rolled out of the garage for the first time..

Before that though, it went though a manual trans swap. T56 with McLeod clutch and master cylinder topped off with a Pro5.0 shifter...

And a little shifter plate with the firebird logo to top it off ...

Misc. electrical stuff like a shift light with a full power distribution setup under the dash for future upgrades...

The the attention was shifter to the exterior. Door moldings were deleted and the car was given a good scrubbing and polishing...

It was decided that I was bored and I wanted to do the CETA mod...

Ofcourse, not everything was fine and dandy, I blew the head gasket for the second time (first was a MLS, then was a paper/steel laminate)...

Also, the clutch decided to quit at the same time while at the EFA race. When it was taken apart, you'd be surprised to see that I actually got home on that clutch lol...

After that ordeal, it was decided that I may as well go with a MS3 cam and an 90mm F.A.S.T. intake to top it off and get the most out of the setup...The intake was painted white to complement the car but I had to strip it down again since the clear coat didn't agree with the base and started bubbling :bang: it sits unpainted now...

The two piece timing cover came in handy!

it was finally time to take some glamor shots!!! Very Happy

Then I acquired a red WS6 Hood (thanks Shawn) which is still awaiting a paint job...

but that's not gonna happen anytime soon 'cos I blew a head gasket again! The heads were sent out this time for a machine shop to go over them. The were disassembled, cleaned, notch welded and milled flat before putting it back together after a valve job cos the valves weren't sealing anymore...

now I've got to put it all together .. AGAIN!!

tooo much powar!!!

Actually, I think I messed up when cleaning it after the first time it blew ('cos of a casting notch on the head surface) ... after that, I used paper gaskets that just didn't hold 'cos the head was probably warped or the surface was not straight 'cos I could've messed up while taking the old gasket off ('cos it kept blowing the paper out at the same location). Now it's gonna be MLS all the way ... still waiting on my shipment though
